The softer side of Stephen: (courtesy of starpulse.com)
Actor Stephen Dorff Really Loves His Mom
Stephen Dorff is celebrating his mother's good health after she recently recovered from an illness by tattooing her name on his arm. The actor, who used to date Pamela Anderson and Juliette Lewis, is extremely close to his mom and was shaken when she fell ill.
The 32-year-old says, "My mom recently had a health scare that really opened my eyes. I've got a tattoo of her name - Nancy - on my arm. People think it's my girlfriend. But I just wanted to keep her close. But she's a real strong lady and went back to school and became a psychologist. She wanted to understand about the mid-life crisis and now she's a full on doctor. I was a handful as a kid. I gave her a lot of trouble and now I realize how lucky I was to have such a great mom."
Dorff has also vowed to leave his movie villain past behind to concentrate on more positive roles, for the sake of his mother. He adds, "With recent film roles I've chosen to play nice guys with great morals. When I was younger I played the bad guy a lot in movies like Blade, but it was scaring my mom and grandma."

Boys will be boys...the latest skuttlebutt on Stephen and his altercation with Jeremy Piven...

(courtesy of TheCelebrityCafe.com)Jeremy Piven, Stephen Dorff Get Into Immature Fight, Refuse To “Hug It Out“ 7-Jun-2006Written by: Ellen Wernecke Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the biggest nine-year-old of them all? Jeremy Piven ("Entourage") and Stephen Dorff ("Blade") got into a pretty silly fight last night at exclusive New York club Bungalow 8, the New York Post reported. Piven was reportedly detailing his plans to befriend some babes in line for the bathroom when Dorff cut in front of him. "I can do what I want!" Dorff reportedly declared to Piven after the star, who as mega-agent Ari Gold on the HBO show pushes his clients to the limit, protested the cut. "You're a has-been!" Piven declared, to which Dorff retorted, "At least I am a movie star -- you're only on TV!" The stars nearly started a fight before security intervened. Dorff was seen to wander the club and a nearby strip club for the rest of the night declaring he would "kick Jeremy Piven's ass." Sure, Dorff has had some impressive movie roles in his past. But Piven has a point -- those roles are past, and until Dorff's next major film project (Oliver Stone's "World Trade Center") debuts, it seems like Piven is the winner. But seriously, boys: How old are you?
(courtesy of iVillages Daily Blabber)More on Jeremy Piven & Stephen Dorff's Feud
I love when people "exchange words" -- funny things come out. Kinda like the time I got into a fight after not-so-wisely taking a jab at a crazy drunk girl's "military" record. But I'll save that story for a rainy day...
Anyway, a Page Six spy gave a
play-by-play account of the recent fight between Jeremy Piven and Stephen Dorff at NYC's Bungalow 8 the other night. Here's my written reenactment of the ridiculous exchange:
The Piv is in line for the potty. Dork tries to cut to the front.
Piv (throwing his arm out to block him) : No, no, no. You are going to wait in line like the rest of us, you privileged, spoon-fed son of a bitch.
The Piv turns to the long line of people waiting to pee.
Piv: Anyone wanna see this guy cut the line?
People shake their heads no, prompting Dork to get in Piv's face. Piv doesn't move an inch.
Piv (laughing): What are you gonna do? You're nothing, baby! Nothin'.
Dork turns read and mutters something about having powerful friends and says that Piv has no class.
Dork (leaving): You are done. See you in line for my next movie.
Funny -- I can't name a single movie Stephen Dorff has been in. Can you?
*just so you all reading this know, Dork is how they referr to Stephen*
(courtesy of entertainmentwise)...After Dorff’s last comment Piven allegedly lost it and security guards arrived at the scene.A witness told Page Six: "Jeremy, who actually had a table, was shoved into a bathroom by security and left shortly after. And Dorff, who was in the standing-only section, kept hanging around all night telling anyone who would listen, 'I am going to kick Jeremy Piven's ass!' It was hilarious."Dorff is rumoured to be dating Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding…I wonder how impressed she would be with his childish behaviour?
Dating:
*once again she is a blonde. Not that I have anything against blondes but this is his M.O.*
(courtesy of fametastic) Girls Aloud’s Sarah Harding dating Stephen Dorff
Tuesday June 6th, 2006 at 12:36 pm by LucyLastic
Sarah Harding is apparently dating actor Stephen Dorff after meeting him during the recent Girls Aloud tour.
The pair have been seeing each other for the last couple of months but managed to keep it a secret until Stephen joined family and friends backstage to celebrate the end of the tour in London at the weekend. The group then travelled to Soho’s Movida nightclub in separate cars.
A source revealed: “Stephen was waiting for her to arrive with the rest of the girls. As soon as she walked in, he was beaming.”
“Blokes were drooling over her but she didn’t even notice because she was with Stephen for most of the night. They were snogging the face off each other in the VIP room.”
“Sarah left with Nadine while Stephen went out of the back door. It’s early days so they wanted to keep things quiet for as long as they could.”
(courtesy of metro.co.uk) Stephen Dorff The days when Stephen Dorff was considered a 'hot' actor are long gone. Which makes the row he had with US actor Jeremy Piven in the queue to the gents at a US showbiz bash all the more funny/tragic. Piven told Dorff off for barging to the front of the queue, calling him a has-been. Dorff replied: 'I'm a movie star - you're only on TV'. When security guards split the pair up, Dorff shouted: 'See you in the line for my next movie.' He was allegedly spotted later in a strip club telling the dancers they should want to sleep with him because 'I'm a movie star'. Dear oh dear. Dorff's cinematic output has included Space Truckers - a film some critics have called 'the worst movie ever made.'
*sounds like the boy is cracking up, kinda sad really*

Just found Tennis Anyone? on DVD. Here is my review...I liked it. A first time directorial debut from Donal Logue about Tennis, the hardship and seedy side of the movie biz, described as a dark comedy. Stephen only has three scenes in which two of the scenes he is singing and the third scene he is showing off his comedic side just a bit. He plays a country singer named T.C. Jackson and has the lamest song titles. But he does speak with a country accent a wears a huge Stetson. Check it out. I would say this is a grown-up film, for younger kids this film may not be appropriate for.

Okay, I couldn't wait until the new year to bring you any tidbits. I found this great interview with Donal Logue chatting about Tennis,...Anyone?, new Miniseries starring Stephen, Den of Lions news, Roseanne Season 2, new photos on Wireimage, Far Cry Instincts (videogame), .45

DONAL LOGUE: TENNIS FOR EVERYONE
by Don R. Lewis(2005-11-22)(courtesy of FilmThreat.com)
I originally saw Donal Logue’s directorial debut “Tennis, Anyone?” at Sonoma Valley’s “Cinema Epicuria” Film Festival early on a Sunday morning. Being a big fan of Logue since his “Jimmy the Cab Driver” and “Tao of Steve” days, I couldn’t believe this film had slipped past my radar. I had never heard of it. So, with a hot coffee in my hand and a hangover banging in my head, I excitedly ventured over to see everyone’s favorite every-man, Donal Logue, star in his writing directing debut.
I really had no idea what to expect other than what the film description said. Basically, the film told the story of two B-list actors who loved tennis and thus started making a name for themselves in celebrity tennis. It hardly sounds engaging, but it was Donal Logue! I had to give it a chance. However I soon discovered “Tennis, Anyone?” is about much more than tennis. It’s about the loneliness and despair felt by artists and people who have skimmed the surface of success. It’s about pursuing your passion, no matter what people think. I found that “Tennis, Anyone?” told the tale of a man who has to learn to be himself….no matter what.
I loved the film and wrote a review that said just how honest, strange, funny and great “Tennis, Anyone?” was and then I sat back and waited for everyone else out there to see it and start the buzz. And I waited. And I waited, waited and then waited some more. The movie never really caught a buzz. Every year several great films just get cast to the side as people fall all over themselves for something the mainstream media said they should like. Why does it happen? Who knows. Yet as fate would have it, I was perusing Craigslist one day and saw a posting written by Donal Logue himself.
The post was titled “Independent Film Enthusiasts” and it was looking for a few good eggs to basically hand out flyers on campuses to promote “Tennis, Anyone?” which was playing at a movie theater in Berkeley. I was stunned. Not only had this terrific film never blipped on a radar, it is now being taken by the hand to small theaters across the country. I quickly responded and mentioned I had reviewed the film favorably for Film Threat and before long, the interview you see below you was spawned.
"Tennis, Anyone" was written by both you and by Kirk Fox. Who came up with the original concept? Completely a synchronized epiphany between the both of us. It had brewed without articulation while we worked on “The Patriot,” but it wasn’t until we went to a charity tournament and this guy with frosted hair who was a bit time guy on soap operas came rolling up that we both looked at each other and knew that there was a film in this somewhere.
How long have you and Kirk known each other? Where did you meet? We met on “The Patriot.” I think I had seen him in LA here or there. The day I showed up to South Carolina to work, I was with my kid and my ex and our dog and Kirk was hanging with this weird guy and I kind of defined the two of them by his friend and made a vow to avoid him.
This was one of Kirk's only roles that has an actual character name. He usually plays characters like "FBI Agent" or "Sharpshooter." Has this film helped him land some roles with names? I really think it has. He did such a tremendous job. I broke him down so brutally in the two years leading up to shooting. When he is teaching tennis, he says things like, “great, now try hitting that backhand like a heterosexual” – I was equally as ruthless with his acting. I tried to break him of seeing his lines in quotes, of hearing them in his mind before they were “delivered” in a preplanned and contrived way. He was so good that my friends from “Grounded for Life” saw “Tennis, Anyone?” and put him in this big pilot for NBC where they forced him to go big and ridiculous on every line reading again.
You know all your fans perceive you as a smoking, drinking, philosophizing everyman...do you really play a sissy sport like tennis? First of all, I am an alcoholic and smoked (no longer) three packs of Marlboro reds for almost fifteen years. I have had my ass kicked many more times than I kicked someone’s ass (twice, for the record) and yes, played a pussy sport like tennis. My Mom, she’s from Ireland, coached tennis in Nigeria when she was a Missionary and turned me on to it when I was young. I was living in Nogales, Arizona – on the Mexican border- and started by hitting a ball against the side of a school wall.
Who do you think the greatest tennis player of all time is? What tennis player is your most despised? Loaded question filled with necessary qualifications. Greatest ever, Pete Sampras. But possibly so boring personally that people don’t give him the credit.
Personal faves- Borg and McEnroe. It’s like Larry Bird and Magic Johnson- they need each other to exist. The “holy shit this guy is an inspiration and unbelievable” award goes to Andre Agassi. Finally- even though Laver was the shit, Connors looked unbeatable in 74, etc… the guy who does stuff no one else could dream of is Federer.
The players I most despised are assholes from back in the day who were preppy, snotty juniors who didn’t amount to shit but were liars, cheats and arrogant pricks. Apparently, players don’t like Roddick, but I wish the guy success, he is a fighter.
The film clearly has some parallels between your character "Danny Macklin" and your true self. Were you afraid that your honesty onscreen would be taken to heart? Did anyone in real life get pissed off at you? Not at all. The only person who possibly could have really been upset, my ex Kasey Walker, was so proud of me and Kirk, she cried at a screening in LA and gave us big kisses and hugs. My bosses at “Grounded For Life” came and loved it too, but they are the best guys in the world- and by “they” I mean Jim O’Doherty, David Israel, Bill martin and Mike Schiff.
You had a really positive, almost magical festival experience with "The Tao of Steve." How does "Tennis, Anyone?" compare experience-wise? It’s weird. It didn’t get into Sundance although I showed a rough cut which is a mistake to all filmmakers out there. I actually think “Tennis, Anyone?’ is a ballsier, more brutally honest movie than the “Tao of Steve” and obviously I am closer to it. I loved the “Tao of Steve” because of a million factors, mostly how much I love Jenniphr Goodman. It was very satisfying to receive acting accolades for it because it confirmed a suspicion I had about the project, the intelligence of the dialogue and my ability to give the character life. “Tennis, Anyone?” has been really successful in festivals and has moved some pretty disparate crowds in different ways. Ultimately, it has been a struggle- but I was in Minneapolis and Austin a couple of weeks ago, sitting in theaters with complete strangers watching this weird movie that Kirk and I thought up and I was excited to be making film.
Based on your "Tao" experience and not to mention all your other indie endeavors...including hosting the American Spirit Awards...were you expecting your film to get a "warmer" reception and into "bigger" festivals? You got into some great fests but nothing "big." What happened? It’s a strange film. And by strange, I mean cool in a way that I think some really snotty, erudite or just snobby assholes don’t entirely get. It’s the kind of movie that people who think anything outside of contemporary Iranian cinema might not be worth watching, probably don’t like. Some Sundance people really dug it and I got a note from them and I felt a little burned, but I am sure a number of decent films do too. Fair or not, it always sucks when everyone wanders back from Sundance talking about how bad the movies were. I went to Australia after that and missed a lot of Fests. We dropped the ball on Berlin because Roland Emmerich ran the fest last year and initially was in our movie and loved it. I thought my buddy was submitting it and he probably thought I was. Although I have been burnt out by cutting and poster design and marketing and begging and all the stuff I had to do on the film.
You must have had a ton of contacts to indie distributers and festival people from all your years in the business. Were there any true-to-life "Tennis, Anyone?" moments where someone you thought would help you kind of screwed you over? Not really. I thought Sundance could have helped a bit more but, such is life. A lot of distributors loved the movie and then they would get a screener for their boss who watches it in an office and passes- or video passes. I got a lot of flak for having Kirk as the lead because they all claimed it was a much harder sell, but no one else could have done that part for many reasons. Whatever. I was hoping good reviews and some limited success would help us get a bit of the last laugh, but I am proud of it. It was about the most guerilla, indie movie made last year. “Sideways” cost fifty million god damn dollars, we didn’t have a port a potty. We didn’t have hair or wardrobe or permits or anything and we made it. I was a little bummed that all the fests that pay such lip service to the indie spirit are really just speaking about films with big corporations behind them. P.S. Fuck Toronto- now and forever.
Talk about some of the experiences you've had seeking distribution for the film. You mentioned "Tao of Steve" turned a pretty penny, but none of the investors saw much of it. Was it a priority to avoid that same fate with your film? Absolutely. The distribution environment for little movies that aren’t about blondes with big tits shooting machine guns is more grim these days than ever. We could sell rights to our movie for fifty grand, but beyond that you will never see anything again. We own our movie and are now close to breaking even, even without finishing domestic DVD deals. It is rough. Even “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” had millions to keep it pumped up until it found an audience. All I have is my ATM card and I can’t do that with kids.
Why do you think people shied away from picking it up? Too dark? Not enough big stars? Not enough "festival prestige?" All three…maybe your opinion would be better than mine because my perspective has been so skewed, I have no objective sense anymore. I thought “Napoleon Dynamite” was forced and stupid and “Welcome to the Dollhouse” pure genius and the market says I am dead wrong.
In my review of "Tennis, Anyone?," (a film I really loved) I mentioned the performance of Jason Isaacs. Just who was he impersonating? Tom Sizemore and probably stole a little bit of Olivier from “The Entertainer.”
Speaking of the actors in the film, did you have people like Paul Rudd and Henry Thomas in mind to play the porn stars? That was some fucking brilliant casting, by the way. Also, how did you go about scoring The Dorffman (Stephen Dorff) and was it tough for him to play a vapid country superstar? Did he have anyone in particular (*cough* Toby Keith *cough*) in mind during his performance? I asked them what they (Rudd and Thomas) wanted to do. Dorff had just come back from Nashville where he was hanging with his dad and we were riffing on country music. Dorff is a complicated character I will admit that, but we have the greatest working relationship and I love the guy. He is such a fantastic actor- from the “Power of One” on. I wish he had done twenty more films in the last five years of the “Back Beat” ilk.
I read you were a roadie for The Lemonheads. Can you tell us just what the hell is wrong with Evan Dando? Nothing- other than he had a drug problem and was too good looking for his own good. But I met Evan when he was in high school and he was so fucking talented. We all thought he was going to be like the punk rock Elvis. No one knows how smart he is- he is really, really bright. We were tight years ago. Although in his drug haze, after I moved to LA, I went up to him at Rhino Records when he kind of was on top as a star and he was so fucked up. He thought I was a fan who wanted an autograph and that was the first time I was really tripped out by how fucked up drugs are. I saw him after that and the Rhino Records thing was an episode he has no recollection of but it stung me. He is doing great now, married and doing good acoustic music. I think he could be like Nick Drake.
Was there any trepidation about just how dark this film gets? I mean, it's great stuff but alot of it is borderline creepy. Did you seek to stun viewers or was there a particular idea you were getting at with the darker scenes in the movie? Shock? Honesty? Shocking honesty? Dark, but not gratuitously so. Loneliness, a painful afternoon when you feel your life is completely adrift and in that moment, totally empty? Like the masturbation scene after which Danny immediately calls the woman who broke his heart. I have engaged in such self-loathing confirmation behavior. I just thought it was stuff I and others might relate to.
What was the festival reaction to the scene where you're jacking off? They all laugh when I reach for the lotion and then I run and duck.
Is "Ghost Rider" going to suck? If so...how bad? I hope not, I had the greatest time. Nic (Cage) was in tight leathers the whole time and (of course) we immediately took it to an Elvis/Tom Jones kind of homoerotic place of humor between takes that busted us up. He was really disarmingly funny and smart and the director, Mark Stephen Johnson, besides Mark Ruffalo and Mark Waters is the NICEST man in show business.
What do you hope happens with "Tennis, Anyone?" Are you going to continue the DIY thing as you have by four-walling the film yourself? Do you plan to self-distribute after that? We are going to continue four walling it. I think what I am doing is that I am going to screen it at colleges and do Q and A’s and also from now on, every screening we do for an audience – the proceeds will either go to the two charities that I feature in the film or the charity of the theater’s or institutions choice. We are showing in Boston and I am giving the proceeds to Peace Games, the Brattle Theater (in danger of closing) and a couple of Harvard Undergraduate charities.
Will there ever be another sighting of "Jimmy the Cab Driver?" Perhaps a film? I think we'd all love to hear his take on this current political administration. I want to, I just need to raise a little cash. I think I might do it next summer with my friend Rob Burnett who runs the Late Show for David Letterman.
You've had a pretty great career so far...a nice build with lots of big budget stuff and great indie stuff. What has "Tennis, Anyone?" taught you about the business that you didn't know before? Just to keep hustling. It wasn’t the great success that it might have been, but honestly, if people with really good tastes like you and others really see what we were trying to do, I feel vindicated and happy about doing it.
The film has an extremely honest portrayal of how fake and power hungry the entertainment industry is...and you and Kirk should know. After shopping the film to festivals and distributors, did you ever feel they thought the joke was on them? I think in a weird way that the entertainment industry is strangely more brutally honest than any other. In the world of academia, people get fucked over all the time and someone can just find an academic reason to screw them out of a position. Usually things that a lot of people like that are successful aren’t good movies. Like, “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.” But people like them and the market sustains them. Conversely, Hollywood can come through with huge films like the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, which can be fantastic.
What festivals did you enjoy the most? Woodstock and Austin. I missed my new hometown festival of Ashland, Oregon because I was in Australia. There was a film festival in Minneapolis called SMMASH- I loved it and the people that ran it.
What advice can you give young filmmakers now...having run the gauntlet with a film you wrote and directed? Do it and do it on video so you don’t spend as much as I do. Swing for the fences and if it doesn’t happen, keep doing it- who knows? Once a film is made and it exists, someone somewhere is going to watch it and that is kind of the magic of it all. I guarantee “Tennis, Anyone?” will have a bigger future than “Taxi” with Jimmy Fallon.
Watching "Tennis, Anyone" raises many important philosophical questions. For me the most important one was...are El Caminos cars or trucks? Cars with truck beds. Hot rods I should say. I have two.
What's next for you? Any more writing/directing projects in the works? I adapted a Walker Percy Novel I am going to direct with Bill Paxton in the lead. It is called “The Second Coming” and I am writing a pilot about my home town for FX called “El Centro” with John and Rick Dahl.
Any last words of warning or advice for Film Threat readers? Don’t let the bastards grind you down!

Some cool tidbits for you:
AUTHENTIC CELEBRITY-MESSAGES SERVICE TO MOBILE PHONES LAUNCHED
...Household-name celebrities including Rio Ferdinand, Mr T, Cat Deeley, Boy George, Vernon Kay, Goldie Lookin’ Chain, Vinnie Jones, Jenson Button, Dannii Minogue, Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, Ian Wright, Bez, Dave Berry, Neil Fox, Stephen Dorff, Mariella Frostrup, Tom Baker and many more, have recorded traditional and more quirky greetings that are now available to order. These range from ‘Happy Birthday’, ‘Congratulations’, ‘Thank You’ and saying ‘Sorry’ in their own style, as well as seasonal and festive messages including Christmas and Valentine’s day. Many of the celebrities have also recorded more off-the-wall messages such as robustly telling recipients to ‘Wake up!’, ‘You’re Dumped’, ‘Go Out With Me’ and even to parents ‘I’m Gay Get Used To It!’... *SourceWire*
Shadowboxer
...In other Philly film news: Shadowboxer, a drama starring Cuba Gooding Jr. and Helen Mirren as a murderous (and incestuous) son and stepmother, got its world premiere Friday at the Toronto Film Festival. Philly-born director Lee Daniels shot Shadowboxer here last year. The Toronto house was packed, and so are the movie's credits. Pinkenson, who with her office pulled strings and helped Daniels, hits the big screen as a "coexecutive producer." Philly's Brook and Dawn Lenfest, who helped finance the independent film, get notice, too: He's a producer, she's an executive producer.
As Shadowboxer seeks a distributor, know there's an uncut version that includes full frontal nudity of Stephen Dorff as well as a nude rear view of Gooding. Someone surely will bring up Gooding's signature line from Jerry Maguire: "Show me the money." We won't. *Philadelphia Inquirer*
...Yet it can't top "Shadowboxer," a blaxploitation-inspired melodrama starring a frequently naked Cuba Gooding Jr. as the partner and lover of hit woman Helen Mirren, who is dying of cancer.
She decides not to honor the contract on the wife of a sadistic gang lord (frequently naked Stephen Dorff, whose mob seems to have been recruited from a male modeling agency) after the pregnant target's water breaks. It's so deliriously absurd as to be an instant cult classic and a rebuke to anyone who thinks festivals are for film snobs... *Detroit Free Press*
(ouch, already a scathing review and the film hasn't been released yet)
...Anyways, the next movie coming up was Shadowboxer. The movie stars Cuba Gooding Jr. and Helen Mirren as mother/son/lovers/assassins. Yeah, that's a weird combination for sure. I honestly considered leaving the movie about 5 minutes in it was so bad, but I stuck it out -- and boy was that a mistake. I'd only recommend seeing this one to those interested in seeing Stephen Dorff show off a little full frontal or to see Cuba Gooding Jr. slip it to Helen Mirren. Not a pretty site. But even those uncomfortable moments aside, the story was terrible. The acting was worse and it was overall a very bad experience... *Empire Movies*
FarCry - Xbox
(don't forget Stephen lends his voice in this game)
...As Jack (voiced by Stephen Dorff) you must find a way to survive on the island, which is generally by introducing some mercs to a few lumps of lead, or luring them into some nasty tree whips. But this would get boring after a while, right? Well Ubi thought so anyway, so they introduced the feral instincts. After being captured, and used as a test subject by Dr. Krieger, Carver undergoes some changes. He becomes superhumanly fast and strong, able to leap great distances and track his enemies by scent. The gameplay then shifts, with Jack turning from the prey to the predator... *Xbox Solution Review*

Got some news...Stephen is 32 and allegedly dating someone new. This comes to us from:webindia123

Stephen Dorff dating heiress:- Los Angeles July 31, 2005 1:40:17 PM IST
Actor Stephen Dorff seems to have moved on in his life after breaking up former "Baywatch" star Pamela Anderson by dating heiress Alexandra Miller von Furstenberg.According to Radarmagazine.com, the couple was seen having a good time at the Tower Bay here. They then reportedly went arm in arm to a beach party for the rest of the night. This coupling has raised some eyebrows since Alexandra is a 32-year-old socialite is a daughter of billionaire duty-free magnate Robert W. Miller and was a royal until her 2003 divorce from Alexandre von Furstenberg (son of Diane and Prince Egon von Furstenberg). A source said: "Stephen knows this is a step up. This blonde has something the last trashy blonde never will - billions of dollars and social standing."

Miller Time for Stephen Dorff
Pneumatic pinup Pamela Anderson may have left Stephen Dorff for more tattooed pastures, but sources say the fast-moving actor has already found comfort in the arms of an heiress, Alexandra Miller von Furstenberg.
According to West Coast spies, the couple was seen enjoying a romantic dinner last week at the Tower Bar at L.A.’s Argyle Hotel, then continuing arm in arm to a beach party where they were “all over each other” for the rest of the night.
Some discriminating celeb watchers may marvel at the union. After all, the 32-year-old socialite is a daughter of billionaire duty-free magnate Robert W. Miller and was a royal until her 2003 divorce from Alexandre von Furstenberg (son of Diane and Prince Egon von Furstenberg). But we hear Dorff, whose oeuvre includes the 1996 film Space Truckers, is “smitten with Alexandra” and is hoping to bridge the gap between their respective milieux.
In other words, says our source, “Stephen knows this is a step up. This blonde has something the last trashy blonde never will: billions of dollars and social standing.” Best of all Dorff, who likes to hobnob with the Old Hollywood set, will finally have a classy chick to accessorize with. A publicist for the actor declined to comment, and von Furstenberg could not be reached by press time.

Okay, I know it has been like frickin forever since I did a post. Reason why it took so long. Not much going on really. Usual stuff, older films being finally released on DVD, dating Pam Anderson, you know the usual. Well it is now July 10th and only 19 more days till Stephen's 32nd Birthday. I got a few things for you. An interview.....yeaaaaaaaaaa!

Upcoming Projects:
Voiceover for Xbox game courtesy of computer and videogames.com
STEPHEN DORFF TALKS FAR CRY INSTINCTSThe Hollywood star's tracked down to chat about his role in Ubisoft's first-person shooter10:23 Hollywood actor Stephen Dorff is providing the voice for Far Cry Instincts hero Jack Carver. Official Xbox Magazine (UK) recently caught up with him to talk about his involvement with the Ubisoft first-person shooter.
Loads of Hollywood stars increasingly seem to be doing voiceovers for games these days, but why you, and why Far Cry?
Stephen Dorff: I liked the idea of the part, and I like the idea of the game too. I knew the PC game was very successful, so it just seemed interesting. I also like to try things. When the internet craze was going on, I did a little thing which was one of the first internet films to be broadcast over the net. It was weird, but I kinda went for it. And, from what I know about Ubisoft and this game, it's a first-class operation. Far Cry has a shot to be really successful on Xbox, and I wanted to lend my voice to it. Jack Carver seems like a cool character, and I like the realism behind it. Whether I'm playing a vampire or a human being, as long as there's realism there, that's what attracts me.
Jack Carver is something of a hard-bitten survivalist. How do you think that'll come across in the game? Will you be researching the lifestyle, or just shouting a lot into the mic?
Stephen Dorff: Umm... I just brought the character to life in a similar way I'd have acted in a movie. The part was written, and the beats were pretty clear and simple. I knew when he had to be aggressive, and I knew when he had to be more playful. I just kinda went in there and laid it all down. I've been asked to do this types of thing before, but this one kinda seemed interesting.
So, if you were stuck on a desert island surrounded by a gang of militant nuts, how do you think you'd cope?
Stephen Dorff: (Laughs), I'd probably try to make friends with the militant nuts! Either that or I'd get myself a machine gun, or hook up with Jack Carver. Or learn how to swim for a really long time. I'd have to quit smoking though, because I don't think I'd make it very far. The island I'm on looks like a vacation, but basically it's a disaster area with grenades going off and all kinds of craziness. Jack has this line where he says "Welcome to my paradise", when in fact it's hell!
Can you tell us a little bit more about Jack Carver's trap-setting abilities? Did you have to record death throes for when Jack gets himself caught in traps or snares?
Stephen Dorff: There's such a variation to what's going on, so I recorded reactions to everything, and then they'll plug 'em in.
But what about your acting style? That can't be the same when you've got your foot in a trap?
Stephen Dorff: Well, he complains a lot, that's for sure. Today was a real 'Oomph', and 'Argh' day in the booth. We got all the scripted stuff done, and then the reaction stuff came. I kinda do that in the movies anyway, it's easy, but you just want it to sound real. When I get thrown out of a boat I wanna scream and grunt to make it sound real bad.
So how much freedom are you given throughout voice recording? It must be very tempting to add the occasional 'Die, you ugly bastards!' in there when there isn't one!
Stephen Dorff: Well, I think Jack is the kind of guy that does say whatever he wants. Obviously I don't know the legalities of it, but there are already a lot of 'f*cks' in the script! I think they want to make this an edgier game! It doesn't seem like a young kids' game. If the cursing works, then just like a movie it should be there. You don't want Jack Carver to be shouting "Stop, you friggin' idiots", you want him to shout "Stop, you f*cking maggots!" You know what I mean?
Do you have to use props when voice recording to get into the flow? We've got a radio show here in the UK called The Archers, and the actors have to scuff around in gravel to produce walking sounds. Will you get to fire a gun to produce the same effect?
Stephen Dorff: Do I get to fire a gun? (Laughs) Not really, no, I just do the voice!
Do you think Far Cry will do wonders for your reputation? No doubt a lot of ladies will be pleased to hear you saving the broad and ending the terrorist threat!
Stephen Dorff: It's always good to run away with the girl and be on a desert island and stop the terrorist threat, I like the sound of that. As far as doing wonders for my career, well I don't know. Hopefully the game will be a big hit so I can call up Ubisoft and get games for my friends, and do ten sequels or whatever! Hopefully it'll be a monster!
With so many videogames becoming films these days, if you got offered the part of Jack Carver on the big screen, would you take it?
Stephen Dorff: Man, I dunno, I have to read the screenplay first to see who'd I'd wanna work with! But I think there's certainly a movie within Far Cry, you know? A really sexy action movie in the vein of Die Hard on an island. I miss those old action pictures that didn't have too much CGI, and that were straight up. Yeah, let's go and do the motherf*cker! We'd shoot it in Fiji! I'd cast the girls! Ubisoft should greenlight it straight away!
We saw you in Ashton Kutcher's Punk'd recently, and you were working up some impressive method acting-style anger. Are you going to reach into the fiery depths and deliver more full-on fury as Jack Carver? We interviewed Tom Jane about the Punisher game recently and he said doing voice work was a piece of piss. What's the case for you?
Stephen Dorff: A piece of piss? Oh man! I love your questions. Um, it was incredible. It was orgasmic. It was er, great! Jack Carver's a stud so it was a pleasure.
So did you reach into those fiery depths then?
Stephen Dorff: I didn't really think about Punk'd or Ashton when creating Jack Carver, to be honest. I was more angry at the waiter [from a scene in Punk'd]! I wanted to kill him. They've shown that about eight gazillion times now, too. I don't think about it too much!
Can you tell us any amazing facts about the game that no-one yet knows?
Stephen Dorff: Oh man, I don't know enough about it yet! What can I tell you? As far as the surprises within the game go, I can't tell you because the guys are still working that out.
Have you got an Xbox yourself, then? If so, will you be playing Far Cry on Xbox Live and actually go out hunting as yourself?
Stephen Dorff: I've been given one, but I don't know where I left it. When Far Cry comes out I'll be getting another one for sure, just so I can hear myself. I'm not very good at videogames though. I'd probably be telling Jack to do something and he won't end up doing it, and I'll be stuck in the same fricking area. Hey, we'll see how it goes.
So what would your Gamertag be then? And don't say 'FarCryIsGreat73' either!
Stephen Dorff: (laughs) Oh man... I've no idea. I have no idea. I guess it would be... Um, I have no idea.
Okay, you can have FarCryIsGreat73, then.
Stephen Dorff: These questions are really insane! It's been harder answering your questions than doing Jack Carver in the videogame!
Thanks! Okay then, just one more and we'll let you go. What can we expect to see you in next, and what's in the future for you?
Stephen Dorff: Well, I've just done another videogame title, a movie called Alone In The Dark with Christian Slater, and a film called Shadowboxer due out soon, but I'll see all you Xbox fans when Far Cry Instincts comes out. Hopefully you'll like it.

He's fun, he's sweet, he's sexy and he serves a purpose in my life".The blonde star, formerly married to Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, also revealed the couple holed themselves up in Dorff's home for an entire day when they first got together.

Okay a few more tidbits:

Hollywood.com: HOLLYWOOD, April 4, 2005Astin Battles with Anderson's BodyguardBy WENN ............................................Lord of the Rings star Sean Astin got into a fight with Pamela Anderson's bodyguard outside of a New York City hotel over the weekend.
The actor had planned a day out with his eight-year-old daughter Alexandra, but a relaxing excursion quickly turned into chaos when Anderson and her boyfriend Stephen Dorff attempted to leave the same hotel at the same time.
Astin says, "It was an honest misunderstanding... Pamela Anderson and my friend Stephen Dorff were coming out (of our hotel). They were going to the Knicks game from the Peninsula Hotel and the crowd of paparazzi and autograph seekers and people who were intrigued to see Pamela surged into me.
"I had my eight-year-old girl and we almost got pinched in between the Suburban... So I was trying to protect my daughter from the surging crowd and then I wanted to quickly duck into the car.
"Mike, who was Pam's security guy, saw from the back a guy getting in the wrong car. I thought it was my car but it was her car, and he kinda grabbed me and swivelled me around."
The two have since apologised to each other.
Contactmusic.com:
ANDERSON THOUGHT SHE'D ALREADY DATED DORFF
Actress PAMELA ANDERSON found her boyfriend STEPHEN DORFF so attractive the second time she met him, she was convinced they'd already dated.
The former BAYWATCH star has been dating Dorff for a number of months, but before they got together the busty beauty was a little confused about the history she shared with him.
She says, "I knew him a long time ago. We'd met and then I met him (again) in Las Vegas for something.
"I remember going up to him and thinking, 'God, you're really hot, have we ever...?' And he goes, 'No!'
"I'd met him a long time ago and it could've happened, but it didn't happen. Now its happened!"

Actor STEPHEN DORFF found his strict diet for his 2003 movie COLD CREEK MANOR so tough, he travelled from Canada to New York City for a meal the moment he was allowed to eat what he wanted.
The
BLADE star worked out and ate under the guidance of celebrity trainer HARLEY PASTERNAK, and he sometimes found his regime very difficult to stick to.
Pasternak says, "I was training Stephen Dorff in Canada for Cold Creek Manor. One his first cheat day, he flew to NYC just to eat!
"As soon as we landed, we went to a deli for a corned beef sandwich, fries and root beer. Then we went for pizza.
"By two o'clock we were so sick that we didn't eat a thing until the next day!"

Okay, we all know that Alone in the Dark opened Last Friday the 28th. The following are reviews form all around the country. Let me know what you think. Do you agree or disagree?

The Trades
...Slater's performance here can best be described as "bemused." By that I mean I suspect he found it hard to believe the dialogue he was required to recite is actually coming out of his mouth. I can apply that same analogy to the rest of the cast, with the possible exception of Tara Reid, who plays Ed's girlfriend and museum curator Aline Cedrac. She plays her role as if she has no idea where she is, or what she's doing there. Stephen Dorff is also present as Carnby's foil, Richard Burke, the current commander of the 713 Bureau. All of these actors have been better with other material, so I can only hope they all learn from this experience. . . . and never repeat it!...
MetroNews
...Dorff is the leader of Bureau 713, an elite squad of paranormal commandos — all of whom have vaguely artificial faces and wear matching ergonomic helmets and elbow pads, like porn stars trying to break into extreme skateboarding. The 713 guys kill a lot of zombies, and then the Xenos kill a lot of the 713 guys, and it all comes to a head in an abandoned mine, where ... well, actually I’m not entirely sure what’s supposed to have happened there...
Rocky Mountain Collegian
...Even Tara Reid and Stephen Dorff were no match for the horridness of this flick. Reid, Dorff and Slater all seemed like they were reading their lines for the first time, and all the smaller background acting felt like watching a really bad sitcom, with enough unnatural movement and emotions to fill five phone booths...
ASU Web Devil
...They might fool others, but I saw straight through it and unfortunately right into the bad acting. Slater has never really been a favorite of mine, and this movie just makes things worse between us. The whole hardcore attitude that he displays in every movie just does not sit well with me. Dorff and Reid aren't much better. After "Blade" I only see Dorff as a vampire and Reid always seems like an idiot, no matter how smart of a girl she is supposed to be...
Charlotte Observer
...I love the Internet Movie Database. While trolling through Stephen Dorff's mini-bio, I read that he was considered for the part of Jack in "Titanic" but was glad not to get it: He didn't want to be forever associated with that role. (Sure turned out to be a prison for Leonardo DiCaprio, didn't it?)
Instead, Dorff will forever be associated with unscary villains and tough guys in second- and third-rate movies: "Blade," "FearDotCom," "Deuces Wild," "Cold Creek Manor" and now "Alone in the Dark," which capitalizes on the video game's popularity but changes virtually every element.
Dorff plays the commander of Project 713, a government unit that investigates paranormal activities. He teams up with old nemesis Carnby (Christian Slater), a former 713 agent now operating on his own, and they look into assaults by demons first brought into the world by Native Americans 10,000 years ago...
These reviews are just to name a few. As you can see they aren't positive. So once again, you tell me should I go see it or wait fo rthe DVD?

Okay, here we go first up Gossip, Projects, Pictures, & Fun Stuff.

Gossip
Seems as though the gossip is true. Stephen and Pamela Anderson are a couple. Check out The January 31, 2005 issue of People magazine. There is a picture of them at a Lakers game last week. The Devil's Hand: No, It's Not 'Hook 'Em Horns' by CONSPIRACY PLANET
"Devil's hand" (or "il cornuti" in Italian) signifies that satan rules. It is a universal hand signal used by politicians, celebrities as well as heavy metal bands, affirming their allegiance to satanic powers and a visual shorthand for "Hail, Satan."The "devil's hand" is familiar to both Bill Clinton and George Bush as evidenced by the photos with the caption "the satanic torch is passed" on Steamshovel Press (www.steamshovelpress.com)Both Laura and George Bush used this hand signal during the 2005 coronation (inauguration)of the US President on January 20.The mainstram media cartel has tried to explain away this bizarre and occult hand signal by implying that this is the "hook 'em horns" sign used by Texas Longhorn football fans. Not so. The devil's hand has been observed and photographed around the world, used by George Bush, Bill Clinton, Silvio Berlusconi, Elizabeth Taylor, Prince William, Paul McCartney,Metallica, Ozzie, Avril Lavigne, Stephen Dorff, Dave Navarro and many others.
